Beekeeping Immersion

Northern California
Beekeeping Season 2025

In Person Beekeeping Lessons and Experience

Our time will be a mixture of visiting the bees, experiencing their field of influence, and working with embodied animistic techniques to communicate with the hive. We will listen to the bees and see what is being asked for each session.
These sessions will include hands on natural and bee-centric beekeeping, but our agenda will always be second to the needs of the bees.
Each session will center around what's happening in the apiary at that time of year, as well as methods and ways to interact with the bees in non-ordinary reality.

Five Stars:

This immersion is for anyone interested in beekeeping in a more bee centric, and sacred way.  We will apply a mix of practical knowledge with meditations and observation.

Who is this immersion for?

No.  You do not need beekeeping experience.  However, this is not a Beekeeping 101 class.  We will proceed under the assumption that those present know the basics of bee biology and behavior as found in any beginning beekeeping book or class.  This includes the role of the different bees in the hive, how they build their nest, how bees reproduce as a colony, the seasonal cycle of a bee hive, and how bees forage.

Do I need to be a beekeeper to attend?

That's fine.  Just sign up for the ones you can attend.  This course is not sequential. Each immersion will be led by the bees and the season.

What if I can't make all the Sessions?

Yes, for safety reasons, I will require everyone to have protective clothing and sign a liability waiver.  However, you do not need a full bee suit, and I will not require you to wear your clothing all the time.  This is a safety measure.

Do I really have to bring protective gear

If you find you can not attend, you will receive a full refund within 3 weeks of the program.  If you cancel one week prior to the date you will receive a 50% refund.  If you are a no-show there will be no refund.

What's your cancellation policy

Children over 12 are allowed to come as students, and will need to pay for a spot in the immersion.  Children will need to attend with a parent or guardian.

Can I bring Kids?

We can only enter the hives if the weather permits.  This is why we will be doing earlier gatherings in the summer months.  If it's raining, smoky, or far too hot (projected over 90 by 10am) I will reschedule to the best of my ability.  If that is not possible we will meet indoors and skip actively opening a hive.
